About Interventional Radiology:
A great opportunity for a Registered Nurse interested in advancing a career in Medical Imaging! The radiology nurse cares for patients that undergo diagnostic imaging procedures. A radiology nurse is involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures. As such, a radiology nurse will develop a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of radiologic science. The Radiology nurse will focus on patient assessment, patient education, administration of various kinds of IVs, fluids and medications; as well as constant patient monitoring. Radiology nurses will utilize state of the art diagnostic equipment for procedures and imaging technology; as well as working closely with Radiologists to collaborate for treatment of various medical problems. Additionally, the Radiology Nurse will collaborate with physicians to provide conscious sedation and assist Anesthesiologists with intraoperative anesthesia care.
Interventional Radiology department hours of operation are 6:30am-6:00pm with 24 hour call coverage that includes holidays and consists of general call, neurology/stroke call, and trauma call.
BSN is preferred, 1+ years RN clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, ICU or Telemetry highly preferred. Monitoring experience and ability to read rhythms is required. BLS, ACLS, PALS required.

Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
Bachelors degree preferred.Professional certification preferred.
