We are currently looking for Secretarial staff to work at various Banner Health facilities in our West Valley - Sun City locations.

 

BSS Registry positions do not guarantee hours, however for this position we are looking for candidates who may be available to work up to 40 hrs per week.

Banner Staffing Services requires:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the desired work setting
  • Recent / current experience required (with the past year)
  • Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment (including drug screen)
  • Completion of employment, criminal and education background check
  • Intermediate knowledge in office systems

Job Summary

This position provides a variety of secretarial and clerical support for a department or several departments. The incumbent uses standing instructions to complete their tasks.

 

Essential Functions

  • Provides secretarial and clerical support which may include, but is not limited to, composing correspondence, maintaining/ordering office supplies, answering telephone calls, making appointments, coordinating meetings/travel arrangements, taking meeting minutes, maintaining files (which may be confidential in nature), making copies, sending faxes, etc.

 

  • Inputs and maintains data in computer system, using discretion when data is confidential. May use various personal computer software programs, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. to produce high quality reports, presentations or other documents.

 

  • May act as a receptionist to include, but not limited to, greeting and directing visitors/patients, answering incoming calls, relaying messages.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and one to two years related secretarial/clerical support experience.

Excellent communication and human relations skills are necessary. The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of office practices and procedures, business terminology, excellent grammar and spelling, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Must have ability to utilize word processing and other software applications. Must be able to work with periodic supervision. Must have the ability to word process with speed and accuracy. Good organizational skills are essential in prioritizing and coordinating various responsibilities simultaneously.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
