Job Summary

This position provides expertise in selected enterprise-wide business or healthcare processes and participates in formulating system scope and objectives relative to the companys requirements. Works as part of a team who provides knowledge, guidance, research and fact finding expertise to define, design and modify specifications and processes of information systems. Incumbent participates in establishing system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications.

 

Essential Functions

  • Gathers and assesses business information needs and prepares system requirements for enterprise medium and large-scale projects. Manages the full scope of assigned projects.

 

  • Performs analyses, development and evaluation of data mining in a data warehouse environment.

 

  • Serves as a liaison between business units and IT leadership regarding the identification of the business critical information and knowledge and its usage and availability.

 

  • Reviews and validates data loaded into the data warehouse for accuracy.

 

  • Interacts with user community to produce report, dashboard or application requirements.

 

  • Prototypes solutions, prepares test scripts and conducts tests for data extraction, loading and presentation.

 

  • Creates technical and project documentation, including user guides.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and healthcare experience and a minimum of 4 years related experience.

Requires intermediate to advanced skills using word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard business applications. Requires communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels. As is typical in this industry, variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

General knowledge of information technology and healthcare is desirable.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
