Banner Health is currently seeking a Marketing Director Urgent Care to support Banner's Ambulatory lines of business.  This position will be located at Banner Corporate Center Phoenix Plaza, off Central & Thomas.

Job Summary

This position continually assesses the business, industry and organization to enable the product line to react with agility, speed and creativity to become the product line of choice in the market. This position plans, organizes, and directs all strategic marketing and communication functions and activities (internal and external), leads the way in improving processes to reduce clinical variation and improve quality, identify opportunities for success in value-based care and drives growth within the designated product line.


Essential Functions

  • Provides strategic marketing leadership and management of marketing activities related to the Banner Health brand, specific to service lines within the banner Health family of products.


  • Collaborates with operational lead Medical Directors and other senior leaders within the designated product line to establish marketing goals, objectives and standards of performance.


  • Facilitates the implementation of quality improvements into operations to ensure successful product launch.


  • Creates product positioning, messaging, and product marketing activities, as well as design and implement go-to-market programs across multiple communications channels.


  • Analyzes competitive product offerings, market dynamics, and marketing research. Translates insights into effective market programs, competitive insights and communication materials.


  • Uses data to understand target market segments and their behaviors. Optimizes marketing and MarTech resources to develop strategies to activate and convert customers. Monitors marketing KPIs.


  • Develops Best in Class product line strategy with teamwork, service excellence, and safe and exceptional quality outcomes as its hallmark.


  • Develops annual marketing budget and ensures compliance.



Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and abilities as typically obtained through completion of a bachelors degree in marketing or a related field and seven years of experience, including at least three years of product marketing or related services.

Excellent communication skills and demonstrated comfort level with public speaking in front of large audiences. Must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with conflict and manage relations that balance system needs and entity priorities. Solid foundation in cross marketing skills and activities. Proven track record of successful project management of product marketing and marketing communication programs.Ability to develop a clear, realistic, and actionable vision, as well as provide results-oriented strategic and systems leadership, and ability to effectively and credibly interact with and influence internal and external contacts. Excellent problem solving, analytical skills; detail oriented with the ability to oversee projects from origin through execution.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree and multi-site experience preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
