When you join our team you will be in charge of the monitoring of all patient's requiring cardiac monitoring within the facility. You have the opportunity to collaborate on a regular basis with the RNs and other members of the team on the floor assuring patient care. In this role you will also be responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards. Our shifts are three 12 hour shifts from 7:00pm – 7:30am with an additional 18% shift differential to the offered hourly rate.

This position is responsible for continuous observation of patients monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
Depending on department assignment, completion of unit approved basic electrocardiogram -OR- electroencephalographic interpretation course or on the job training and - a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG -OR- EEG test, with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias - OR - epileptiform activity. Must possess a working knowledge of medical terminology. Requires effective interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
