North Colorado Medical Center is looking for an Emergency Department Technician in beautiful Northern Colorado. This Emergency Department Technician position is 36-hours per week working 6a-6p and includes working every 3rd weekend. The successful Emergency Department Technician candidate will have a current EMT license and IV certification.

This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. In Arizona: Either Emergency Medical TechnicianBasic (EMT-B) with state licensure, or EMT National registry certification, or Certified Nursing Assistant, or Licensed Nursing Assistant in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. All current CNA incumbents as of 12/4/16 must obtain the LNA by the earliest of either their renewal date or 12/31/18 (includes an extended deadline to 12/31/19 for Tucson only). In Colorado: Either Emergency Medical TechnicianBasic (EMT-B) with state licensure, or EMT National registry certification. Outside of Arizona or Colorado: Either Emergency Medical TechnicianBasic (EMT-B) with state licensure, or EMT National registry certification, or Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice is required.
Position requires basic computer skills, effective communication (written and verbal) skills, and problem-solving ability.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
