The Banner Skilled Nursing Facility is a 78 bed facility affiliated with the Banner Health System and rated as a 4 Star Facility with only 6% of Arizona facilities with this rating. We are not for profit facility. Our Nursing Patient ratios are 1:10 which is very generous in the SNF environment. We pride ourselves on our excellent Therapy Team and Nursing Care who provide great patient care and assist our patients in getting to their next transition in care. We are proud of our length of stay which discharges patients to their next transition in care in just the right time where they can continue their recovery in the comforts of a more homelike environment.
As the ideal candidate you will be responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provide a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department. You will be a valued member of our team and be a part of strong team collaboration. The hours for this position are 6:00pm – 6:30am to include rotating weekend and holidays, PLUS an additional 18%shift differential. Join our team! High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Current BLS certification. In Arizona: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers. All existing incumbents must obtain the LNA by the earliest of either their renewal date or 12/31/18 (includes an extended deadline to 12/31/19 for Tucson only).Outside of Arizona: Current Certified Nursing Assistant in state of practice is required. In Tucson: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) in state of practice is required for new hires. Existing Tucson incumbents may not transfer out of their geographical market without meeting the CNA or LNA requirement.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service. Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills. Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy and keyboarding skills is required.
Depending on department assignment, receive a minimum passing score of 85% on ECG or EEG test with accurate identification of all lethal cardiac dysrhythmias and epileptiform activity is required. Successful completion of either a unit approved basic electrocardiogram interpretation course or electroencephalographic interpretation course, or on the job training is also required.
Recent healthcare experience preferred. Successful completion of an approved unit secretary program is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
