The Scheduling team works closely utilizing Banner’s mission, vision and values. Radiology schedulers schedule various outpatient imaging exams including but not limited to CT Scans, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammograms, Nuclear Medicine and diagnostic exams. Some procedures require coordination with other departments interacting directly with referring physicians, radiologists, technologists, as well as patients to assure a smooth process and a world class customer experience.
The scheduling team collaborates daily working closely in a call center environment. As a scheduler, you are the patient’s first point of contact for questions regarding pre-and post-test preparation, location, directions, and general questions. You will be responsible for labeling managing received documents and orders within a imaging software system in preparation for scheduling. You will ensure the appropriate documents have been received and are compliant with the facility’s policy. You will deliver exceptional customer service in order to make our patient’s healthcare easier, so that their lives can be better.

This position is responsible for scheduling medical procedures for the organization's patients, physicians and medical facilities across the region by coordinating all aspects including, but not limiting to, facility resources, physicians, authorizations and insurance verification. Using a broad understanding of clinical procedures and company facilities, this position provides patients with pre-admitting information and pre-registration.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 2 years of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital central scheduling or physician office scheduling setting. Knowledge of medical terminology is required. Also requires knowledge of payor contract terms and processes. Must have highly developed interpersonal skills and communications skills, with a strong customer service orientation. Requires effective teamwork skills and the ability to meet deadlines and productivity standards.
Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills, the ability to work effectively with common office software are required.
Previous out-patient testing or surgical scheduling experience is desired.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
