The Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative is an international collaborative research program focused on conducting preclinical Alzheimer’s research studies in cognitively normal people who, based on their age and genetic background, are at the highest imminent risk of developing Alzheimer’s Disease symptoms. The Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative consists currently of 3 clinical trials conducted in partnership with pharmaceutical companies, biomarker studies, clinical trial pre-enrollment registries and a genetic testing and counseling program.
As a Research Assistant, you will be supporting our Radiochemistry Laboratory through maintaining FDA regulations and documentation within the lab.

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of laboratory procedures. Performs standard laboratory techniques and procedures, identifies abnormalities, prepares and cleans labware, and maintains lab supplies.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Must possess knowledge of scientific laboratory processes and procedures with college level courses in Science, Chemistry, or related areas.
Experience typically gained through a minimum of one year biomedical research laboratory experience. Must be able to follow instructions and protocols. Incumbent must maintain absolute confidentiality regarding specimens and the findings associated with the laboratory functions. Must have basic knowledge and understanding of medical terminology in order to read, identify, and extract pertinent data from laboratory records and information. Must be able to multi-task and re-prioritize duties as needed. Excellent human relations, organizational and communication skills are required.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, or related field.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
