The Events Coordinator is part of the Sun Health Team. In this role, you will assist with the planning and execution of special events, including consulting, budgeting, and post-event reporting as designated by leadership. You will research, identify and recommend potential venues for designated special events and manage vendor and supplier relationships. You will be responsible for administrative support, preparing and maintaining reports and required documentation and records for all designated events, including management of the designated special event’s budget. This includes formulating and executing plans for effective utilization of available funds, equipment and supplies. Candidate must have at least three years of event planning, marketing or public relations experience, ideally in the hospitality, entertainment or nonprofit sector. This position, plans, coordinates, and implements identified special events programs that support the mission of the organization.
Knowledge and experience typically attained with a Bachelor’s degree in recreation, marketing, public relations, communications, related field or three years of experience in a similar position.
Must be proficient with commonly used office software and personal computer.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in coordinating, developing, and implementing special events is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
