In the role of the Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS) Administrator you will have the opportunity to be part of the continued transformation of home and community based services and long term care services. This leadership position interacts with the long term care community, community leaders, state and federal regulators, Banner University Health Plan (BUHP) leadership, and Banner Health leadership. This position is a member of the BUHP Executive team and the driver of our long term service programs and operations. This position has overall accountability for providing leadership, direction, and administration across The University of Arizona Health Plans (UAHP) long-term care services while maintaining a high level of visibility at Banner Healths Insurance Division. This position is responsible for driving, supporting and modeling a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, quality, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall member experience. Serves as a member of UAHPs executive leadership, building and supporting effective collegial relationships with applicable internal and external constituents and stakeholders and ensuring optimal operating effectiveness and strategic positioning.
Requires a Masters degree level of knowledge in management, preferably health care administration, coupled with five or more years of increasingly responsible administrative leadership experience in a Managed Long Term Service and Supports (MLTSS) environment, preferably within the state of Arizona.
Proven track record of partnering with regulators, long term care organizations and contracted providers to achieve desired organizational outcomes. Proven experience in leading fiscally sound, profitable, efficient, and responsible health care operations. Strong financial and business acumen, including a keen understanding of operational and financial measures that define success, as well as budgeting and forecasting methodologies, including working knowledge of capital planning and capital investment practices. Knowledge of emerging trends in quality and patient safety. Skilled in coaching and developing direct reports and/or other employees that results in enhanced performance outcomes; setting in pursuing aggressive priorities and goals that demonstrate a strong commitment to overall organizational success; effectively allocating resources in order to accomplish goals and objectives; quickly assessing and assimilating facility and industry financial dynamics in order to act quickly and appropriately to changing environmental factors; negotiating win-win scenarios with outside vendors/partners while representing the organization in the best possible light; developing collaborative and positive relationships with contracted providers, regulators, employees, the community, and/or other applicable parties; measuring and managing work outputs.
