Banner Home Health’s structure is set up to provide Home Health Physical Therapists multiple avenues for support that isn’t available at other agencies – a field preceptor, an IT specialist, a dedicated scheduler, a nurse educator during orientation (available every day to help with documentation questions and challenges), a telehealth team, a clinical manager (intimately manages only a small team of 20 clinicians), and in office triage support. This structure is designed to assist field clinicians in managing their caseload appropriately and not feeling “alone” in the field!
As a Home Health Speech Therapist, you will join the Banner Home Health Clinical Team providing exceptional, expert care in your community. You will enjoy an autonomous practice focusing on functional rehabilitation within the patient’s actual home environment reflective of your patient’s specific needs. This position provides compensation competitive with travel positions, without the travel. The Home Health environment allows for the time to create relationships with your patients and create your own schedule that is not possible in a hospital setting. This position provides screening, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for patients with speech and language disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. This position plans and carries out specialized treatment programs, documents treatment, and maintains data regarding patient care. This position demonstrates the clinical competence and knowledge necessary to provide treatment appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
Current licensure in the state of practice. Certificate of Clinical Competence or documented acceptance in Clinical Fellowship Year. BLS certification required.
Requires the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. Must have strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills.
Must have the ability to become proficient with computer software applications commonly used in an automated patient care environment.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
